Protecting The Investment
Everyone who has bought a pair of sunglasses has probably experienced the familiar pain of putting a pair back on only to find that at some point they had been scratched or damaged within an inch of their life. Most people will live in a state of denial for several moments before ripping the glasses from their face and putting them back into the offending purse or other device of torture they were in. Scratched lenses, loose hinges and stretched out sides can render a pair of sunglasses completely useless, but it doesn't have to be like that.

While we, as human beings, are prone to tossing things around and hoping for the best sunglasses need to be treated with a touch more dignity and respect. Would you just slap your laptop down forcefully onto a counter or toss it in the backseat of the car or better yet throw it haphazardly into a purse? Probably not, so why do the poor sunglasses get such terrible treatment?
Hard cases are commonly thought of as the best way to protect a sunglasses investment but they are a bit bulky for most people, myself included. I have them, that's for sure, but the likelihood that they will actually end up in my bag with the right pair of glasses inside is unlikely. The microfiber pouches, offered by some retailers and online stores, are a much better fit for everyday use. The protect the sunglasses from getting scratched up while in transit. Microfiber cleaning clothes are also a godsend and honestly you can use the pouch as a cloth to remove fingerprints too! Simple, easy and convenient, just the way I like things.
Another great addition to the sunglasses world has been clip on cases. These are hard cases with a clip on the back that allows the case to be clipped to virtually anything. In my car right now there is a case clipped to the visor with a pair of sunglasses already in there. I know my glasses are always protected and I always know where they are. I am typically a person who loses everything so it's pretty convenient to keep a pair right where I need them at all times.
Before you throw another pair of sunglasses into the blackhole that is your purse or toss them into a glove compartment to be rattled around think about the accessories that are on the market for the sole purpose of protecting the investment.
